Andrea Zapiain Gamboa is a Mexican director, screenwriter and producer known for Mujeres (2018) Alien like you (2017) and Humbug (2017).

 

She was born to Miriam Gamboa, an interior designer, and Pablo Zapiain, a software engineer, in 1995. Andrea's inclination for the film and television industry can be traced back to her great grandfather, the actor and popular television host Ramiro Gamboa, better known as El Tío Gamboín.

 

Andrea was born and raised in the chaotic and beautiful Mexico City, Mexico, which turned her interest to social themes that she explores through science fiction.
